On April 6th, the Star Center in Tacoma was alive with festivities as we celebrated Khmer New Year! From vibrant cultural dances to local vendors, it was a day filled with joy and community spirit. Our booth proudly showcased resources for Small Business Resiliency, Equity in Education, and the L&I program.
On April 13th at the University of Washington, the Khmer Student Association showcased dazzling performances and skits. During the event, CACCWA took the stage to give a speech, letting our community know about our programs, what we offer, and our mission. Additionally, we proudly set up a booth showcasing resources for Small Business Resiliency, Equity in Education, and the L&I program.
The CACCWA office Khmer New Year celebration on April 26, 2024, was a resounding success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Southwest Youth and Family Service and the enthusiastic support from our community members, families, board members, funders, and community partners. With an exciting lineup of traditional performances, guest speakers, and delicious food, the event brought together people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate Khmer culture and heritage. The presence of so many attendees underscored the significance of this event in fostering community spirit and unity. Additionally, we had the opportunity to engage with our community members, discussing our resources for Small Business Resiliency, Equity in Education, and the L&I program. As our first CACCWA Khmer New Year celebration, we are immensely proud and eagerly anticipate hosting more fun events in the future.
On April 27, 2024, we seized the opportunity to table at the CCAW Cambodian New Year Street Festival in White Center, featuring Monk Blessing & Food Offering, Khmer Music, Khmer Foods, Khmer Skit & Fashion Show, Khmer performances, games, and more . It was a fantastic tabling event with numerous people stopping by to learn about our resources for the Small Business Resiliency, Equity in Education, and the L&I program at CACCWA.
