Tacoma declares Cambodian Genocide Remembrance Week

Mayor Victoria Woodard declared April 10-16 to be Cambodian Genocide Remembrance Week in Tacoma. This proclamation mourns and honors the more than 2 million lives lost by the Khmer Rouge. CACCWA had the honor of accepting the proclamation on April 12 at the Tacoma Municipal Building.

Big thank you to Councilman Joe Bushell and KHAAG’s Savong Lam for leading this effort, which brings recognition and visibility in the Khmer community.
